Maher Gharib, Zamalek’s Director of Media Affairs, has revealed new details regarding the transfer of Brazilian Juan Bezerra, a first-team player, to UAE club Shabab Al Ahli Dubai, with the deal approaching official completion in the coming hours.
Gharib explained that Zamalek has approved Bezerra’s trip to the UAE to undergo a medical examination as part of the final procedures for his move to the UAE club, with negotiations between the two sides now reaching their final stages.
Medical Examination Before Official Announcement
Maher Gharib said in statements to Hany Hatout that Zamalek’s management approved Juan Bezerra’s trip to the UAE to undergo the required medical tests before completing his transfer to Shabab Al Ahli Dubai.
He indicated that the contract could be finalized officially today or tomorrow at the latest, pending the completion of the medical examination and the remaining administrative procedures between the two clubs.
The step comes after a period of developments surrounding the player’s situation, with Zamalek and Shabab Al Ahli eventually reaching a final agreement over the Brazilian winger’s move to the UAE league.
Major Financial Details in Bezerra Deal 💵
Zamalek’s Director of Media Affairs revealed that the total value of Juan Bezerra’s transfer to Shabab Al Ahli Dubai could reach $7 million, in addition to Zamalek receiving 20% of the player’s future resale value.
The clause forms part of the agreement between the two clubs and would give Zamalek a percentage of a future transfer fee if Bezerra moves to another club, subject to the terms included in the transfer contract.

Zamalek Given Priority if Bezerra Returns to Egypt
Maher Gharib also revealed that Juan Bezerra’s contract contains a clause giving Zamalek priority if the player decides to return to Egypt in the future and wishes to begin a new experience in the Egyptian league.
He also explained that outstanding payments owed to the Ukrainian club associated with the player are a separate matter from Bezerra’s transfer to Shabab Al Ahli Dubai, stressing that Zamalek will be responsible for paying those dues independently of the transfer fee.
The agreement therefore includes several clauses beyond the basic transfer value, including the resale percentage and the priority clause should the player return to Egypt.
