Reports have revealed the stance of Vinicius Junior, Real Madrid's forward, on renewing his contract with the club amidst rumors about receiving huge offers from Saudi clubs. Reports indicate that although some newspapers announced the imminent renewal of Vinicius’ contract with Real Madrid around three weeks ago, negotiations have not yet concluded. Talks began at the start of 2023 at the initiative of the Spanish club, with the goal of extending the player's contract, which is set to expire in 2027. Since then, some positive steps have been made in the negotiations, but no final agreement has been reached.

A source close to the player stated that the first meeting between Vinicius’ agent, Frederico Pena, and Real Madrid’s management did not achieve the desired success, as the player’s offer was not acceptable to the club's management. The source also pointed out that Madrid refused to increase salaries unjustifiably, as it was related to the club's legal framework, according to the salary scale the club follows.

Negotiations resumed after the first meeting, but Vinicius’ financial demands, which were reduced to 30 million euros annually, net, along with signing bonuses, were still far from the offer Real Madrid was willing to make, which was less than 20 million euros per year. However, the negotiations temporarily stalled, awaiting resumption soon, as Vinicius currently earns 17 million euros since renewing his contract in 2022, which is roughly the same salary as Kylian Mbappe.

On the other hand, "Roc Nation" Brazil, the agency representing Vinicius, has taken parallel steps to ensure a tempting offer from Saudi Pro League clubs. Since the beginning of 2023, agency representatives have held several meetings with officials from the Saudi league, trying to secure a huge offer that could pressure Real Madrid to improve the terms of the contract with the Brazilian player. These steps were part of a strategy for parallel negotiations that several prominent player agents in Europe had begun in an attempt to attract football stars to the Saudi league.

In the course of these negotiations, several scenarios have been proposed, including the possibility of Vinicius becoming a Saudi ambassador at the 2034 World Cup. However, despite rumors circulating about a massive offer with an annual salary of 200 million dollars, such an offer did not exist in reality, according to sources close to the player.
