Sports broadcaster Ahmed Hassan disclosed that Zamalek SC is moving to loan out one of its young players during the current summer transfer window, aiming to give rising talents more playing time and experience by featuring regularly with other clubs.

On his official Facebook page, Hassan wrote that an insider at Zamalek confirmed there is an intention to loan out either Ahmed El‑Ghafali or Salah Massad during the ongoing summer mercato, with the coaching staff still evaluating both players’ situations before making a final decision.

These steps form part of the club’s new policy to strategically invest in its young prospects, providing an environment in which they can develop technically and physically, away from the pressures of the first team—especially given the large number of players competing for the same positions.

Meanwhile, Zamalek’s first team continues its daily training sessions with full intensity at the Military College Stadium as part of the first preparation phase for the upcoming season, which is expected to be full of domestic and African challenges.
Tuesday’s training saw the squad split into four groups, undergoing a variety of conditioning and physical drills devised by the coaching staff and the new head coach to gradually raise fitness levels and ensure all players enter the preparation period in a balanced and medically safe manner.

The staff also insisted on conducting preliminary injury-prevention exercises, adhering to a tailored fitness program that meets the team’s needs at this stage, alongside close monitoring of each player’s individual condition.

Zamalek is scheduled to play its first friendly against Orange FC next Friday at 8:00 PM at the Military College Stadium. The coaching team plans to use this match to assess players’ responses to training and to test certain squad members who may figure in the plans for the new season.

In coordination with the coaching staff, the club’s management also intends to organize several other preparatory friendlies over the coming weeks, in order to finalize the optimal lineup, address weaknesses exposed last season, and give new and emerging players the chance to integrate with their teammates and build cohesion.

Zamalek’s supporters are watching the team’s preparations with a mix of anxiety and hope—especially after the recent technical and administrative changes at the club—as everyone aspires to see a strong, truly competitive side next season.
