Yasser Abdel Raouf responded by saying that the VAR intervention was incorrect and stated: “It was an error by the VAR referee to intervene in a situation like this.”
The refereeing expert explained that the on-field referee’s decision should have remained final in this particular incident, according to his assessment of the situation.

He added: “If a goal had been scored from an error like that, the match could have been replayed,” according to his assessment.
