🇪🇬 Egypt Confirms Readiness for the 2027 African Games
Yasser Idriss, President of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, confirmed that Egypt is ready to host the 2027 African Games, stressing that sports facilities and competition venues are prepared while work continues on the remaining arrangements.
Idriss made the comments during his participation in the General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa, ANOCA, where he also conveyed greetings from Youth and Sports Minister Johar Nabil.

The Egyptian Olympic Committee president conveyed Johar Nabil’s greetings to the ANOCA General Assembly, highlighting the coordination between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Egypt’s Olympic movement.
Idriss stressed that preparations for the African Games are being handled through a shared vision and continued cooperation between the institutions involved in the hosting process.

Idriss confirmed that Egypt has the sports facilities and competition venues required for the event, while preparations continue to complete the remaining organizational details.
He also explained that Egypt’s decision to host the African Games was based on more than simply becoming the host nation, with the country seeking to utilize its sporting and organizational capabilities.
