Dr. Qahtan Taha Khalaf, Ambassador of Iraq to Cairo and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, welcomed Iraq’s national blind football team, which is taking part in an international friendly tournament currently being held in Ismailia, Egypt.
The meeting came as part of the Iraqi Embassy’s support for athletes with disabilities and its interest in their participation in international sporting competitions, particularly events in which they represent Iraq abroad.

During the meeting, the ambassador reaffirmed the embassy’s support for the delegation and athletes with disabilities, praising their determination, perseverance and ability to overcome challenges.
