Mohamed Fares, host of the “Fi Dahr Al Ahly” program, criticized what he described as a controversial scene during an episode of “Malab El Bulldozer,” after a verbal confrontation took place between Rabie Yassin and Osama Hassan.
The incident ended with Yassin walking out of the studio while the program was live.

Fares wrote that the presenter of any program bears the primary responsibility for protecting his guest, particularly when that guest is a longtime friend, former teammate and someone he described as calm, kind and respectful.
He then stated that, in his view, Magdy Abdel Ghani bore primary responsibility for the scene that unfolded.
Fares also argued that the incident did not emerge in isolation, claiming that it followed a series of previous situations on the same program that, in his view, could have been handled differently.

Fares continued by saying that the incident was the result of several developments that had previously taken place on the program, arguing that Abdel Ghani had allowed similar situations to occur.
He added that the format and combination of personalities on screen should have prompted Abdel Ghani to protect Rabie Yassin from an environment that, in Fares’ opinion, was unsuitable for him.

Fares also addressed Abdel Ghani directly, stressing that there are issues related to age and circumstances that some people may not fully understand, but that Abdel Ghani, according to Fares, would understand better than most.
He argued that this should have been an additional reason to protect Rabie Yassin rather than placing him in a television setting that Fares believed was inappropriate.

Fares’ comments came after decisions were issued by the Egyptian Media Syndicate regarding the incident on “Malab El Bulldozer,” which airs on Al Shams channel.
According to the decisions cited in the report, the program’s director and editor-in-chief were suspended, while presenter Magdy Abdel Ghani received a warning.
The syndicate also imposed a ban on the appearances of Rabie Yassin and Osama Hassan until the legal and professional reasons for the ban had been resolved.
The syndicate said the suspension of the editor-in-chief and director was linked to a technical error involving the failure to instruct the technical staff to cut the studio audio source.
It also noted that Magdy Abdel Ghani asked the guests to remain calm and requested a commercial break from the director in an effort to defuse the situation.
