🔔 Zamalek SC has confirmed the implementation of the new executive bylaws issued by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, following the failure of the general assembly to reach the legal quorum needed to review proposed amendments to the club’s internal regulations.
Only 898 members attended the assembly, while 4,000 were required to reach quorum. As a result, the club will follow the executive bylaws established by the Ministry, which align with the latest amendments to Egypt’s Sports Law.
📜 The new bylaws include several key provisions:
The Board of Directors must announce the full list of candidates before any elections.
The board is required to hold at least one regular meeting per month, with all members signing the minutes.
The board may suspend one or more members if they meet the conditions for dismissal stated in the bylaws, pending review by the general assembly.
No club may play matches against foreign teams, either in Egypt or abroad, without official approval from the sport’s governing federation and the central administrative authority.
Members cannot hold multiple board positions across different clubs or federations, or work for them with or without pay.
However, members may serve simultaneously on the club’s board and the board of its sports services company, provided they do so without financial compensation.
⚖️ With this decision, Zamalek will now operate under the ministry-approved bylaws, until a future general assembly with a valid quorum can review or modify them.
