During his appearance on “El Match” show hosted by Ehab El-Koumy on Sada El-Balad TV, Motawea explained that John Edward, Zamalek’s sporting director, urged the club’s board to act quickly before the start of the Egyptian Super Cup, so the team can be fully prepared for the tournament.
He also confirmed that Zamalek is open to selling defender Hossam Abdel-Meguid if a strong financial offer arrives, although the player has not yet received any formal bids. Abdel-Meguid, however, expressed his desire to renew his contract with the White Castle, though the management has not opened discussions yet.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Mohamed Awad has refused to leave the club, affirming his commitment to continue with Zamalek in the upcoming period. 🧤🏹
Regarding Ahmed Sayed “Zizo”, Motawea stated that the club has submitted its official documents in the case but requested a postponement to provide additional paperwork related to the player’s advertising contract. Zamalek insists that it is entitled to EGP 20 million from Zizo based on the signed agreement.
