Zamalek suffered a 1-0 defeat against Zesco United in the fifth round of Group D in the 2025-2026 CAF Confederation Cup.
Zesco scored the only goal of the match from a penalty in the 60th minute. Zamalek tried to equalize, and Hosam Abdel Meguid almost scored in the final minutes, but the ball hit the crossbar.
With this win, Zesco reached 3 points in fourth place, while Zamalek remains at 8 points in second place. Zamalek must win their final group match against Kaizer Chiefs at Al-Salam Stadium to secure qualification.
