Zamalek’s first football team held recovery and fitness training on Sunday at the club’s pitch, following the starting lineup’s participation in Saturday’s league match against Pharco. This comes as part of the team’s intensive preparations for the highly anticipated Egypt Cup final against Pyramids.

The technical staff, led by Ayman El Ramadi, decided to limit the starting players’ session to recovery drills only, aiming to protect them from accumulated fatigue and maintain their physical and technical readiness ahead of the crucial clash, especially amid a packed match schedule.

Meanwhile, the substitutes and players who were excluded from the Pharco match underwent an intensive physical session supervised by fitness coach Mohamed El Shafei. The training included rehabilitation and light ball work to boost fitness and improve technical sharpness.
The team also continued tactical and technical drills, where players practiced a set of offensive and defensive strategies. The session concluded with a full-pitch tactical scrimmage to enhance cohesion and coordination among the squad.

Notably, Moroccan left-back Mahmoud Bentaiej took part in both the physical and tactical sessions without any issues, confirming his readiness for the upcoming match.

The much-anticipated Egypt Cup final between Zamalek and Pyramids will take place next Thursday at 8:30 PM at Cairo International Stadium. The White Knights are determined to clinch the title to make up for their early exit from the CAF Confederation Cup and the failure to secure the league title this season. The match holds great significance for boosting team morale and delivering an achievement that satisfies the club’s fans.
