Former Egypt international Ahmed Shobier has revealed that Zamalek have moved to pay part of the installments owed in several cases involving former players, as part of previously agreed payment schedules.
According to Shobier, Zamalek used part of the funds received from the sale of Juan Bezerra to settle installments related to several former players’ cases.
Zamalek Pays Installments for Farag, Ndai, Samson and Sassi Cases
Ahmed Shobier said in radio comments that Zamalek paid installments related to the cases involving Omar Farag, Ibrahima Ndai, Samson Akinyoola and Ferjani Sassi.
The payments were made according to schedules previously agreed upon between the club and the parties involved.
Shobier also revealed that Zamalek paid $200,000 to Omar Farag as part of the amount owed in his case.
The club had previously agreed to restructure the payments connected to these files as it continues efforts to settle its financial obligations.
Zamalek Pays $600,000 Out of $3 Million
Shobier revealed that Zamalek paid a total of $600,000 toward the cases, out of the $3 million received by the club.
He explained that the remaining funds would be directed toward settling players’ outstanding financial dues as the club continues to address its previous contractual commitments.
The latest payments represent part of Zamalek’s ongoing efforts to fulfill obligations that had been scheduled in several cases involving former players.
Ahmed Shobier Criticizes Zamalek’s Handling of Legal Cases
Shobier also criticized the way Zamalek handled several cases over recent years, arguing that the club suffered major financial losses because of mistakes in dealing with contracts and legal files.
He said the club made numerous costly errors and questioned how such issues had repeatedly occurred, particularly when it came to drafting contracts and negotiating player agreements.
Shobier said Zamalek’s mistakes had cost the club millions and raised concerns about the way contracts were prepared and previous deals were handled.
