⚽ Zamalek’s board of directors will assess the future of Belgian head coach Yannick Ferreira following the team’s participation in the upcoming Egyptian Super Cup, set to take place in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from November 6 to 9.

The competition will feature four top Egyptian clubs  Al Ahly, Zamalek, Pyramids, and Ceramica Cleopatra  in what is expected to be a major test for Ferreira and his technical staff before the club makes any final decisions about his position.

Sources inside the club revealed that the management is not fully satisfied with some of Ferreira’s tactical decisions and his approach to handling players. However, the prevailing opinion is to delay any verdict until after the Super Cup to preserve team stability during this critical phase.

🔹 In the Egyptian Premier League, Zamalek is enduring a tough period, having failed to secure a win in their last three matches. The team drew 1-1 with El Gouna in week eight, lost 2-1 to Al Ahly in the Cairo Derby, and again drew 1-1 with Ghazl El Mahalla in week ten.

The Whites did not play in week eleven due to the league format and are set to face National Bank of Egypt next Thursday evening at Cairo International Stadium as part of round twelve.

On the continental stage, Zamalek advanced to the CAF Confederation Cup group stage after thrashing Somali side Dekedaha 7-0 on aggregate, with a 6-0 win in the first leg and a 1-0 victory in the return match.

📊 Under Ferreira’s management, Zamalek has played 16 matches so far, winning 7, drawing 3, and losing only 2, scoring 21 goals and conceding 7. Despite these solid numbers, the team’s performances have not fully met the expectations of Zamalek fans.
