Zamalek received a major boost as their international quartet Mahmoud Hamdy “ElWensh”, Hossam Abdelmaguid, Mohamed Sobhi, and Mohamed Ismail joined the team’s training session on Wednesday at El-Galaa Stadium, in preparation for the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup fixture against Dekedaha of Somalia. ⚽🔥
Sobhi and Abdelmaguid recently represented Egypt’s senior national team in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, while El-Wensh and Ismail were part of the Egyptian squad competing in the Arab Cup.
Zamalek are set to face Dekedaha on Saturday at 6 PM at Cairo International Stadium in the first leg of the Round of 32, with the White Knights determined to start their African campaign with a strong performance. 🏟️🇪🇬
Before training, Belgian coach Yannick Ferreira held a meeting with the players, emphasizing the importance of focus and tactical discipline ahead of this crucial period. He also outlined key technical and strategic points to be implemented during the match.

Meanwhile, Dekedaha’s squad is expected to arrive in Cairo early Thursday morning, ahead of their first-leg encounter.
The match will be officiated by an Ethiopian refereeing crew led by Manohe Weldetsadik, assisted by Temesgen Samuel Atango and Ashbir Tafese Beriso, with Efram Dabele Kapita as the fourth official.
CAF has appointed Mohamed Ahmed Suleiman from Sudan as the general match supervisor, while Mehdi Abid from Algeria will monitor the refereeing team.
