🏀 Strong Start for U18 AfroBasket Qualifiers
The Zone 5 qualifiers for the U18 AfroBasket Championships have kicked off in Egypt from July 22 to July 29 at Hall No. 2 of Cairo International Stadium, with wide participation from teams across the region.
The tournament features 12 national teams, including four teams in the women's competition and eight teams in the men's competition, as teams compete for qualification to the upcoming continental finals. 🏆✨
🇪🇬 Egypt Hosts the Competition with African Participation
The Egyptian Basketball Federation is supervising the tournament and has worked to provide all necessary facilities to ensure successful organization that reflects Egypt’s ability to host major sporting events.
The federation assigned tournament management duties to Captain Tarek El-Saeed, Vice President of the Federation, who welcomed all participating teams and highlighted the importance of the event in developing basketball in Zone 5.
