After graduating from the Faculty of Law, Mustafa Khaater joined the Faculty of Arts, Department of Drama and Theatre Criticism at Ain Shams University. He began his artistic journey by participating in university plays, where he was the head of the acting team and took part in various festivals as an actor and director, winning numerous awards.

He worked as a director with the "Ramouz" troupe in the play "Hal Al-Dunya," which was presented at the Creative Youth Festival in 2011.

In 2012, he directed the play "Isma' Ya Abdul-Sami'" which won an acting award.
