About His Life:

🎬 Jamil Rateb was born to an Egyptian Muslim father and a southern Egyptian mother from a wealthy, conservative family. In the early 1940s, he won the "Best Actor" award in Egyptian and foreign schools. He began his acting career in Egypt with the film "Ana al-Sharq" in 1946, then moved to France to continue his studies in theater. From there, he started his international career, participating in global films such as "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Goodbye Bonaparte".

 

Personal Life:

💍 He married a French actress who later retired and became a production manager. Despite their separation, they maintained mutual respect and admiration for each other.
