Her Artistic Beginnings
Warda was born in France to an Algerian father and a Lebanese mother. She began her artistic journey in France before moving to Lebanon, where she released her own songs.
In 1960, she moved to Egypt by invitation of the producer and director Helmy Rafla and starred in her first film "Al-Maz and Abdu Al-Hamouli."
Her Conflict with Nasser's Regime: In the early 60s, rumors spread about a relationship with Marshal Abdel Hakim Amer, which led to her being banned from Egypt.
Retirement and Return
Retirement: She retired from singing after her marriage but returned in 1972 after an invitation from Algerian President Houari Boumediene.
Collaboration with Great Composers: She worked with Mohamed Abdel Wahab and Salah El Sherbiny, achieving great success in Egypt and the Arab world.
Her Private Life
Warda was married to "Jamal Qasiri" and later to the late Egyptian composer Belig Hamdi.
