Ibrahim El Shami (July 3, 1921 – September 13, 1990) was an Egyptian actor and theater performer, known for his serious roles and strong characters in cinema and television.

 

🟢 Early Life & Background

Born in Abu Seir village, Gharbia Governorate, Egypt.

Obtained an industrial diploma.

Joined the Egyptian army and worked in the maintenance corps.

Participated in the 1948 Palestine War under the command of Ahmed Abdel Aziz and was captured along with actor Hassan Abdeen before being freed.

🎭 Acting Career

Started in religious theater, then moved to military theater, where he was a founding member while serving as an officer.

Joined the Muslim Brotherhood Theater Group, founded by Abdel Rahman El-Banna (brother of Hassan El-Banna), and took part in several stage productions.

Received a Distinction Medal from the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts.

Became famous for his strong and villainous roles in Egyptian cinema.
