Early Life & Education 📚

 

Spent his childhood in Lebanon 🇱🇧, where his father worked and received Lebanese citizenship from President Camille Chamoun.

 

Returned to Egypt in 1970 and completed his education in Cairo.

 

Obtained the Egyptian High School Certificate, then studied Architecture at the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, graduating in 1984.

 

Worked as an architect until 1990, then opened an art studio specializing in decorative items (paintings, sculptures, lighting units).

 

Artistic Beginnings 🎸

 

Passionate about music since age 15; learned to play the guitar.

 

Composed his first songs using lyrics written by his brother Ali El-Meligy.

 

His first music video was titled: “Fi El-Shaware’” (In the Streets), expressing the people’s frustration with poverty and unemployment.

Known for his socially and politically critical songs.

 

Faced media censorship and exclusion from official stages.
