⚖️ Controversy

In May 2014, Safinaz was summoned for questioning due to wearing a dance outfit inspired by the Egyptian flag, which sparked widespread controversy. In April 2015, she was sentenced to 6 months in prison for "disrespecting the Egyptian flag," but was later acquitted in September of the same year, with her fine being increased. She also faced criticism after a video of her dancing with fans in swimwear went viral.
