Rawya Bayad is an Egyptian engineer who held the position of Head of the Production Sector at the Egyptian Radio and Television Union. During her tenure, she oversaw the production of several drama series, especially during the month of Ramadan, and faced financial challenges that affected the scale of production. In 2011, she was accused of squandering public funds in collaboration with former union president Osama El-Sheikh, in a case related to purchasing series at inflated prices, which caused losses to Egyptian television.
