An Egyptian actress and singer, considered one of the most prominent figures in the history of Egyptian cinema, she presented many works that combined both comedy and drama.

Shweikar initially married accountant Hassan Nafea, with whom she had her only daughter, Mona Allah.

After his death, she married actor Fouad El-Mohandes, and together they formed one of the most famous artistic duos in Egyptian cinema and theater. However, they later separated.

She also married screenwriter Medhat Hassan.
