Early Career
He began acting at Ain Shams University Theater, where he formed a drama troupe and performed plays by Naguib El Rihani. After graduation, he joined El Rihani’s theatrical troupe, launching his professional career.
Family Life
He was married to fellow actress Qut Al-Qulub Abdel Wahab, and had three sons who pursued careers in the arts:
Adel Awad: Film director, married to actress Randa, father of Jamila Awad.
Atef Awad: Choreographer, married to Rania Farid Shawqi, with daughters Farida and Malak.
Alaa Awad: Actor, active in the 1980s and 1990s.
