Joined the Model Theatrical Troupes of the Popular Theatre, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture.

 

Appointed Theatre Inspector in Alexandria in 1958.

 

Directed plays for schools, universities, and corporate events.

 

Supervised the formation of a Poetry Arts Troupe in 1961.

 

Joined the Television Theatre Troupe; debuted in the play "Something in My Chest".

Death

Gamal Ismail passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at the age of 81 after a six-month battle with heart disease.

A funeral service was held at the Armed Forces Mosque in Cairo.

The memorial was attended by many prominent artists including Ahmed El Sakka, Mohamed Fouad, Ghada Adel, Fifi Abdo, as well as Minister of Culture Mohamed Saber Arab, Actors’ Syndicate President Ashraf Abdel Ghafour, and Director Rabab Hussein.
