She began her artistic career in radio at the age of 10 on the European Service's "Children’s Corner" program.

She continued working there until the age of 16 as a presenter, writer, and director.

She studied at the American University in Cairo and later earned a master's degree in acting from the University of California, Los Angeles.

After returning to Egypt, she worked as a journalist at Al-Ahram newspaper.
