Related to legendary performer Naima Akef on her grandmother’s side.

Grew up in the famous Akef family, known for their circus arts.

Began acting at the age of 4 with minor roles, and started singing at the age of 12.

Studied Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts, but later devoted herself entirely to acting.

Became well-known for various roles in both film and television.

In 1999, she portrayed Umm Kulthum in the successful biographical series Umm Kulthum.

Following its success, she retired from acting, wore the hijab, and focused on presenting religious TV programs.

In 2006, she made a comeback in the series Kashkool Le Kol Mowaten, and has continued acting since.

💍 Personal Life

Was married to Yasser Abdel Latif, with whom she had a son, "Nour"; they later divorced (reportedly due to her decision to wear the hijab).

Later married Tarek Sadeq and had two sons, "Youssef" and "Ali", but they also divorced.

In 2024, she married Lebanese producer Amer Al-Sabah.
