Porsche Unveils 911 Turbo Touring Cabriolet: Discreet Luxury with 701 HP
Porsche is preparing to launch the refined 911 Turbo Touring Cabriolet—a convertible that blends performance and elegance, delivering 701 horsepower in a subtle, sleek design.
Porsche is developing a new version of its iconic 911 lineup, introducing the 911 Turbo Touring Cabriolet, a car that appeals to drivers seeking high-performance with a more understated appearance.
This refined variant is designed to “fly under the radar,” offering a more elegant alternative to the aggressive Turbo S. Spy images reveal minimal front-end changes with cleverly concealed details, and the signature side intakes appear reduced or hidden entirely.
At the rear, the traditional fixed wing has been replaced with an active aerodynamic spoiler, enhancing both the aesthetics and dynamic performance of the car. The rear bumper also sports a more muted design, consistent with the overall touring theme.
Under the hood, the Touring Cabriolet is expected to feature a hybrid powertrain consisting of:
A 3.6L twin electric turbocharged flat-six engine.
An 8-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission integrated with a compact electric motor.
A 1.9 kWh battery to support hybrid performance.
This setup delivers a total output of 701 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds, completing the quarter-mile in 10.5 seconds, and reaching a top speed of 200 mph (322 km/h).
The “Touring” badge pays tribute to Porsche’s heritage, first appearing on the 1973 911 Carrera RS 2.7, and later on the 911 GT3 Touring, which featured a cleaner design without a rear wing, emphasizing aerodynamic balance and refined driving dynamics.
The new 911 Turbo Touring Cabriolet is seen as the perfect luxury sports car for drivers—particularly women—who want an open-top driving experience with incredible speed, but without flashy design elements.
As for pricing, the base 911 Turbo S Cabriolet starts at $284,300, excluding destination fees. The Touring variant is expected to exceed that, positioning it as a high-end, exclusive offering.
