Dr. Ali Gomaa, a member of Al-Azhar's Council of Senior Scholars, explained that every statement has a practical reality reflected in one's actions.

He stressed that a Muslim's conduct should be consistent with what they say and believe, citing the Quranic verse: “O believers, why do you say what you do not do?”

He referred to the well-known supplication: “O Allah, bless our master Muhammad and the family of our master Muhammad.”

“But no, by your Lord, they will not truly believe until they make you judge concerning their disputes, then find no discomfort in their hearts with your decision and submit wholeheartedly.”

He explained that accepting the Prophet's ﷺ guidance, believing in what he brought, submitting to his rulings and following his example are among the practical expressions of devotion to him.

He emphasized that Islam does not call Muslims to praise and pray for the Prophet ﷺ with their tongues alone, but also calls them to obey him and follow his example.

Ali Gomaa stressed that following the Prophet ﷺ is an essential expression of genuine faith and love.

He also cited the reported saying attributed to the Prophet ﷺ: “None of you truly believes until his desires follow what I have brought.”

He explained that adherence to the Prophet's ﷺ guidance represents one of the foundations of a righteous and God-centered life.
