Al-Isra and Al-Miraj… The Journey of Light from Earth to the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary
Explore the miraculous journey of the Prophet ﷺ from Mecca to Jerusalem, ascending to the heavens, and the revelation of Salah for his Ummah.
The power of Allah manifests in the Isra and Mi’raj, where the Prophet ﷺ traveled from Al-Masjid Al-Haram in Mecca to Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa in Jerusalem, then ascended to the heavens, reaching Sidrat al-Muntaha, in a spiritual journey full of divine honor and celestial secrets.
The journey began with the purification of the Prophet’s ﷺ heart, washed with Zamzam water, filling it with wisdom and faith. He then rode Al-Buraq, a celestial steed of unmatched speed, accompanied by Angel Jibreel, stopping at blessed locations like Mount Sinai and Bethlehem, praying at each site in recognition of previous prophets.
Upon reaching Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa, the prophets gathered to pray behind him as their Imam, and he ascended through the heavens, meeting prophets in each layer until reaching Sidrat al-Muntaha, witnessing divine signs beyond human description.
During the journey, Salah was initially prescribed as fifty daily prayers, later reduced through the advice of Prophet Musa ﷺ to five daily prayers in practice, with fifty in reward, establishing a perpetual link between the servant and Allah.
Upon returning to Mecca, the Prophet ﷺ conveyed the journey to the people, with Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq believing firmly, while others denied the miracle, highlighting the steadfast faith of the believers.
