In a spiritual initiative aimed at nurturing Quran memorizers, Al-Azhar’s Center for Developing Education of International and Foreign Students has announced the launch of a new competition dedicated to supporting Quran memorization and recitation skills. The first season is held under the slogan “Ambassador of the Quran,” with participation from students of Imam Al-Tayeb School in Cairo.

Competition Levels and Prizes

The competition is divided into three main levels:

• Level 1: Full Quran memorization with 20 awards, and a first prize of 40,000 EGP.
• Level 2: Half Quran memorization with 20 awards, and a first prize of 30,000 EGP.
• Level 3: Memorization of 10 parts of the Quran with 20 awards, and a first prize of 20,000 EGP.

Special Awards for Talented Voices

The competition also includes 10 incentive prizes for international students with outstanding voices, each worth 3,000 EGP, supporting excellence in Quranic recitation.

Participation Requirements

Applicants must be enrolled in one of Imam Al-Tayeb School branches, fully memorizing the required level, and have knowledge of Tajweed rules based on the book “Bughiyat Al-Talibin in Tajweed of the Words of the Lord of the Worlds.”
