The General Administration for Charity at Egypt’s Ministry of Awqaf continued its efforts to support employees, their families and the wider community throughout July 2026.

The assistance included financial aid, death benefits, medical support and other forms of social assistance, in addition to preparations for providing interest-free loans to eligible beneficiaries.

Between July 1 and July 31, 2026, the administration disbursed a total of EGP 1,129,230 in aid, grants and financial support.

The General Administration for Charity provided death benefits to the legal heirs of 26 cases, with a total value of EGP 475,000.

It also provided EGP 15,000 in assistance for one case involving a serious illness, as well as EGP 5,000 to support living expenses.

Rewards for Top Graduates and Medical Support

As part of its efforts to support employees and encourage academic excellence, the administration distributed financial rewards totaling EGP 600,000 to outstanding graduates of the Imam Hassan Al-Attar cohort.

It also paid EGP 24,230 in medical debts owed to the Preachers’ Hospital.

In addition, a EGP 10,000 financial reward was provided to a donor in recognition of donating her home to serve people dedicated to Quranic studies.

The total value of aid, grants and financial support provided by the General Administration for Charity during July 2026 reached EGP 1,129,230.

The assistance forms part of the ministry’s social welfare efforts aimed at supporting employees and their families during various humanitarian and social circumstances.

EGP 100 Million Allocated for Interest-Free Loans

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Awqaf allocated EGP 100 million for interest-free loans during the 2026/2027 financial year.

The loans will be provided without administrative fees or bank interest, with the funds expected to be distributed through successive installments that may reach 10 batches.

The program is expected to benefit approximately 7,500 beneficiaries from various entities affiliated with the Ministry of Awqaf and employees of the state’s administrative apparatus.

The General Administration for Charity is continuing the necessary procedures for distributing the first installment of the interest-free loan program.

The ministry is expected to complete the procedures and announce the first installment during the coming month.
