The best prayer for repentance is the “Master of Forgiveness” narrated from the Prophet ﷺ:
"O Allah, You are my Lord; there is no deity except You. You created me, and I am Your servant, and I am on Your covenant and promise as much as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your blessings upon me, and I confess my sins, so forgive me; indeed, none forgives sins except You."
Repentance must be accompanied by regret for the sin, immediate cessation, and firm resolve not to return.

Conditions for sincere repentance (Tawbah Nasuhah):
