شروط كفالة اليتيم في الإسلام

Dar Al-Ifta Al-Misriyyah has clarified that sponsoring an orphan is one of the most virtuous acts in Islam, but it must follow clear guidelines to ensure proper care and protection rather than exploitation.

The institution emphasized that one of the essential conditions is allowing external supervision and regular monitoring to guarantee a safe and supportive environment for the child.

Orphan sponsorship includes covering all aspects of life such as food, clothing, shelter, education, healthcare, and emotional upbringing until the child becomes fully independent.

It also noted that including the orphan in the family’s health insurance system is considered part of proper sponsorship and is rewarded in Islamic teachings.

Furthermore, it is permissible to build or renovate housing for orphans as a form of ongoing charity, as well as to provide financial support during life or through bequests within Islamic limits.
