With the gentle arrival of a new lunar month, Dhul-Qi'dah enters quietly, carrying with it a sense of peace and sacred stillness. It is one of the four holy months in Islam, where wrongdoing is strongly discouraged and spiritual reflection is deeply encouraged.

According to Al-Azhar’s Global Fatwa Center, Dhul-Qi'dah is the eleventh month of the Islamic calendar and was named because Arabs traditionally refrained from fighting during it, allowing peace to prevail.

This month holds a unique status as the first of the consecutive sacred months, leading into Dhul-Hijjah. It serves as a spiritual pause, inviting believers to reconnect, reflect, and purify their hearts.

One of its greatest distinctions is that the Prophet ﷺ chose this month to perform his Umrahs. Narrations confirm that all of his Umrahs were performed in Dhul-Qi'dah, except the one combined with Hajj, highlighting the virtue of this time for worship.

Performing Umrah during this month is considered a Sunnah and an opportunity for immense reward, offering believers a chance to draw closer to Allah during a spiritually elevated period.

Dhul-Qi'dah is not just a passage of time—it is a quiet invitation to realign the soul, embrace stillness, and seek peace in devotion.
