Many pilgrims seek clarity on the rulings related to Ihram violations, especially when such actions are repeated or when multiple violations occur, raising important questions about the required penalties.

When Is One Penalty Enough?

If a pilgrim commits a specific Ihram violation and repeats it without having offered the penalty for the first instance, only one penalty is required.

When Do Penalties Multiply?

However, if the pilgrim commits a violation, pays the penalty, and then repeats the same violation again, a new penalty becomes obligatory for the second act.

Different Violations, Different Rulings

When multiple distinct violations are committed, such as shaving hair, applying perfume, or covering the head, each violation requires its own separate penalty.

Hunting: A Special Case

In the case of hunting, the penalty applies to each act individually, even if previous penalties have not yet been fulfilled.

What Are the Ihram Restrictions?

Ihram restrictions include avoiding hair removal, trimming nails, using perfumes, wearing tailored clothing, covering the head (for men), hunting, and engaging in marital relations or related actions. Women are also required not to cover their faces or wear gloves.
