As the sun sets, Muslims recite the evening Azkar to find peace and spiritual comfort. These supplications, taught by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, are a safeguard from harm and a source of deep tranquility after a long day.

Among the most beloved evening Azkar are:

  • “We have entered the evening and the dominion belongs to Allah…”

  • “O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You…”

  • “I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad ﷺ as my Prophet.”

  • “In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing can harm on earth or in heaven, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.”

These words cleanse the soul, strengthen faith, and bring calm to the heart. Scholars recommend reciting them between Asr and Maghrib, as this is the most blessed time for remembrance.

Repeating verses such as “Allah is sufficient for me, there is no god but Him…” brings inner peace and helps overcome life’s anxieties.
Before sleep, it is also recommended to say, “I entrust my affairs to Allah, for He is Ever-Watchful over His servants,” as a form of surrender and serenity.

Evening Azkar are not just rituals — they are a way of living with faith, gratitude, and peace.
