Among the most beloved of these prayers is:
“We have reached the evening, and the kingdom belongs to Allah…” — a reminder that all power, control, and blessings rest with the Almighty.
Another profound invocation says: “O Allah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshiped but You…”, a supplication that renews repentance and faith in God's mercy.
The Prophet ﷺ also taught: “I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad as my Prophet,” — whoever says it three times at dusk earns God’s pleasure on the Day of Judgment.
To seek divine protection, one may recite:
“In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing can harm in the earth or the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.”
Scholars say the time for evening remembrance extends from late afternoon until sunset, and for those who miss it, it can be recited until the first third of the night — what matters most is ending the day in God’s remembrance.
Finally, to seal the night with gratitude:
“O Allah, whatever blessing I or anyone else has received this evening, it is from You alone — so all praise and thanks belong to You.”
