Sheikh Mohamed Hashad, Head of the Quran Reciters Syndicate, expressed deep appreciation for the Ministry of Endowments’ efforts in launching the State of Recitation program, calling it a transformative step in restoring the brilliance of the renowned Egyptian recitation tradition that has long captivated listeners around the world.

He explained that Minister Dr. Osama Al-Azhari has introduced innovative initiatives to revive the authentic Egyptian school of Quranic performance—starting with revitalizing traditional kuttab schools and culminating in the launch of this new program in cooperation with United Media Services, describing it as “a new birth for the Egyptian Recitation School.”

Sheikh Hashad highlighted his participation in the program’s selection committees, where they discovered impressive young reciters who demonstrated strong vocal ability, precise tajweed, and a deeply spiritual delivery. He affirmed that these emerging talents have the potential to restore the glory of Egyptian reciters across the nation.

He stressed that support should not be limited to the winners alone, noting that the ministry plans to provide training and qualification programs for all participants, helping them refine their skills and master recitation rules—ensuring the preparation of a new generation capable of carrying Egypt’s recitational legacy forward.

Sheikh Hashad concluded by affirming the Syndicate’s full readiness to cooperate with the Ministry of Endowments in all initiatives serving the Holy Qur’an, praising the ministry’s role in preserving Egypt’s leadership in the art and heritage of Quranic recitation.
