Ministry of Endowments Enhances Services at Imam Hussein Mosque

Egypt's Ministry of Endowments has continued its efforts to improve services at Imam Hussein Mosque by organizing a specialized training program in Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid for mosque staff and the operations team.

The program was conducted in cooperation with the Egyptian Red Crescent and the Masajed Foundation for Development to improve emergency preparedness and visitor services.

Part of the Mosque Development Plan

The training follows the completion of the mosque's renovation and carpet replacement project, which was inaugurated by Minister of Endowments Osama Al-Azhari in the presence of Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber and several religious and executive officials.

The initiative reflects the ministry's commitment to preserving and improving the mosques associated with the Prophet's family.

Training Topics

Participants received practical training in:

• Primary patient assessment.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
• Automated External Defibrillator (AED) operation.
• Airway obstruction management.
• Heart attack and stroke response.
• Shock, diabetic emergencies, seizures, and fainting.

First Aid Skills

The program also covered emergency treatment for:

Injuries

• Cuts and wounds.
• Bleeding.
• Burns.
• Fractures.

Emergency Situations

• Poisoning.
• Bites and stings.
• Heat exhaustion.
• Extreme heat and cold exposure.

The goal is to enable mosque staff to provide proper first aid until professional medical teams arrive.

Improving Visitor Services

The Ministry of Endowments emphasized that the training is part of a comprehensive plan to improve both the mosque's facilities and the qualifications of those serving worshippers, ensuring services worthy of the status of Imam Hussein Mosque and its large number of visitors throughout the year.
