Religious questions continue to intersect with daily life, bringing clarity to essential acts of worship. Dar Al-Ifta Egypt has issued several clarifications addressing common concerns faced by Muslims, offering balanced and detailed explanations rooted in Islamic jurisprudence.

1: Can charity replace animal sacrifice?

Dar Al-Ifta confirmed that Udhiyah (sacrifice) is a standalone act of worship, and giving its monetary value does not replace it, as the ritual slaughter itself is the intended act of devotion and tradition.

2: Tawaf while carrying a child wearing a diaper

It is permissible for a pilgrim to carry a child wearing a diaper during Tawaf, even if impurity occurs inside it, as long as it is securely sealed and does not contaminate clothing or body, ensuring ease and removal of hardship.

3: Hajj for workers under Saudi contracts

A distinction is made between validity and permissibility. Hajj remains valid if its pillars are fulfilled, but may be considered sinful if it violates binding work contracts, making compliance with agreements a moral and legal obligation.

4: Additional rulings on Hajj and obligation

Other rulings address performing Hajj on behalf of the deceased and patients with Alzheimer’s, emphasizing that obligation depends on ability, awareness, and legal capacity.
