As the last ten nights of Ramadan approach, many Muslims search for prayers for their children and righteous offspring to recite on Laylat al-Qadr. This blessed night is considered one of the most significant nights of the year, when believers dedicate their time to prayer, remembrance, and supplication in hope of receiving Allah’s mercy and acceptance.

Muslims spend the night worshipping from sunset until dawn through prayer, recitation of the Quran, remembrance of God, and heartfelt supplications. Among the most beautiful prayers for children is the verse:

“Our Lord, grant us from among our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.”

The phrase “comfort to our eyes” symbolizes the joy and peace parents feel when they see their children growing in righteousness and goodness.

Prayers for Children

  • O Allah, bless our children on this blessed night and guide them to what pleases You.

  • O Allah, protect our children and guide them to the path of truth.

  • O Allah, grant them success and blessings in their lives and knowledge.

  • O Lord, fill their hearts with faith and decorate them with obedience and goodness.

  • O Allah, grant them goodness in this life and the hereafter.

  • O Allah, open the doors of blessing and provision for them.

  • O Allah, forgive their sins and protect them always.

  • O Allah, make them among the righteous and a comfort to their parents’ eyes.

Prayer for Righteous Offspring

Many Muslims also pray for righteous children on Laylat al-Qadr, following the supplications of the prophets, including:

  • “My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous.” – Prophet Abraham.

  • “My Lord, do not leave me childless while You are the best of inheritors.” – Prophet Zechariah.

  • “My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring; indeed You are the Hearer of prayer.”

Believers are encouraged to make sincere supplications for themselves and their families on this blessed night, as prayers during Laylat al-Qadr are believed to carry great reward and acceptance.
