Ministry of Awqaf Highlights Equal Opportunities Unit Achievements

The Ministry of Awqaf has reviewed the achievements of its Equal Opportunities Unit during the period from July 2025 to June 2026, highlighting a wide range of initiatives focused on promoting equality, empowering women, and strengthening the institutional work environment under the patronage of Minister Osama Al-Azhari.

Strengthening the Equal Opportunities Framework

The ministry appointed coordinators at its headquarters and across regional directorates to improve communication, facilitate services, and enhance institutional coordination.

Training Programs for Women's Empowerment

During the year, the ministry organized two workshops in cooperation with the National Council for Women to support equal opportunity policies, promote gender equality in the workplace, and monitor the implementation of Egypt's National Strategy for Women's Empowerment 2030.

Awareness sessions were also held for regional coordinators, while comprehensive databases were prepared for female employees and employees with disabilities.

Community Initiatives Supporting Women

The ministry marked the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women by organizing awareness events and seminars in cooperation with the National Council for Women and the Ministry of Social Solidarity.

Interactive online sessions were also launched to discuss social issues, including psychological and family support for high school students.

"Ehna Sandak" Psychological Support Initiative

The Equal Opportunities Unit launched the "Ehna Sandak" initiative to provide psychological and emotional support for female employees, promote mental health awareness, encourage family stability, and create a supportive workplace environment.

An official email channel was also introduced to receive psychological, religious, and social consultations, as well as suggestions and complaints.

Permanent Exhibition for Female Employees

To support working women, the ministry inaugurated a permanent exhibition offering affordable products, including carpets, clothing, food items, and handmade crafts in cooperation with several government entities.

These initiatives reflect the Ministry of Awqaf's commitment to promoting equal opportunities, empowering women, strengthening institutional performance, and supporting the Sustainable Development Goals and Egypt Vision 2030.
