Regarding combining prayers, Dar Al-Ifta clarified that combining prayers is allowed as a concession in cases such as travel, illness, or necessity. It is permitted between Dhuhr and Asr or Maghrib and Isha, but Asr and Maghrib cannot be combined as each prayer has its designated time.
Scholars from Al-Azhar also explained that the wisdom behind silent prayers (Dhuhr and Asr) and audible prayers (Maghrib and Isha) follows the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Audible recitation during evening prayers enhances focus and spiritual presence after daily distractions, deepening the sense of devotion.
