During Hajj, the heart enters a state of pure devotion, where supplication becomes a constant companion across every ritual, from the moment of Ihram until the completion of the pilgrimage.

Talbiyah: The call of devotion

From the beginning of Ihram, pilgrims recite the Talbiyah:
“Labbayk Allahumma Labbayk…”
A declaration of full submission and response to God’s call.

Comprehensive supplications during rituals

Among the recommended prayers is:
“O Allah, make it an accepted Hajj, a rewarded effort, and forgiven sin,”
expressing hope for acceptance and divine mercy.

At Ihram, one may say:
“O Allah, I ask You for the causes of Your mercy…”
seeking guidance and support throughout the journey.

The moment of seeing the Kaaba

Upon reaching the Holy Kaaba, hearts overflow with prayer:
“O Allah, increase this House in honor and reverence…”
in a moment of deep spiritual emotion.

The Day of Arafat

The most powerful moment of supplication is on Arafat:
“There is no god but Allah alone…”
a day of mercy, forgiveness, and divine closeness.

Etiquette of supplication

It is recommended to supplicate with sincerity, humility, certainty of response, raising the hands, and beginning with praise of Allah and blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ.
