Supplication is the believer’s powerful weapon. Turning to God in ease and hardship relieves worries and dispels grief. Ibn Abbas reported that the Prophet ﷺ would say in times of distress:
"There is no god but Allah, the Most Forbearing, the Most Generous. Glory be to Allah, Lord of the Mighty Throne. Glory be to Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and the Mighty Throne."

Among the dhikrs that erase sadness:
"There is no god but You; Glory be to You, indeed I have been of the wrongdoers."
This supplication saved the believers from grief, as mentioned in the Quran: "So We answered him and saved him from distress. And thus do We save the believers" [Al-Anbiya:87].

Prophet ﷺ’s supplication for extreme sorrow:
"O Allah, I complain to You of my weakness, my lack of power, and my humiliation before people. O Most Merciful, You are the Lord of the weak, You are my Lord, to whom will You leave me? If not in Your anger, I do not mind, for Your well-being is most ample for me..."

Supplication for relief from distress:
"O Allah, grant me relief from all that burdens me in this world and the Hereafter, provide for me from sources I do not expect, forgive my sins, strengthen my hope, and sever it from anyone but You..."

Supplications for protection from calamities:
"O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the removal of Your blessing, the change of Your wellness, sudden punishment, and all Your wrath."
"O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, incapacity and laziness, stinginess and cowardice, debt and being overpowered by men."

The Prophet ﷺ encouraged patience and supplication during trials, saying to Umm Salama:
"No servant is afflicted with a calamity and says: ‘Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we shall return. O Allah, reward me for my affliction and replace it with something better,’ except that Allah rewards him and replaces it with something better."

Through these prayers, a believer finds heart relief and spiritual tranquility, feels God’s closeness and blessings, and sees ease in their affairs, with grief and anxiety lifted by God’s will.
