محمود حمدي الونش يكشف حقيقة مفاوضاته مع الأهلي.

Mahmoud Hamdy El-Wensh, a player for Zamalek Club and the Egyptian national team, spoke about the truth behind the negotiations that took place between him and Al-Ahly Club before renewing his contract with Zamalek. El-Wensh's statements came after many news reports and rumors spread on social media about his potential move to Al-Ahly, following his contract renewal with Zamalek.

El-Wensh mentioned in his press statements that Zamalek has always been supportive of him, especially during his injury periods, which made his decision to renew with Zamalek clearer. He said, "Zamalek stood by me during my injury, and it played a significant role in supporting me, and I owe a lot to the club." He added that he was initially unsure about renewing his contract with Zamalek due to the circumstances surrounding the administration at that time.

El-Wensh explained that before returning to the field after his injury, he received calls from Hussein Labib, the head of the temporary committee managing Zamalek, regarding his contract renewal. He said, "Hussein Labib called me about the renewal, and I told him I was ready for that, but the most important thing for me was the overall situation of the team, and I had to focus on the other players as well." He added that during his return to the pitch, he started receiving offers from other clubs, but confirmed that Al-Ahly was not among the clubs that made offers to him at that time.

El-Wensh clarified that all the rumors on social media about his move to Al-Ahly were unfounded, stressing that these reports did not reflect the reality. He said, "Social media is what turned my contract renewal into talk about Al-Ahly, but everything said is just rumors with no basis in fact." El-Wensh also mentioned that he didn't understand the reason behind the image shared by Turki Al-Sheikh, the head of the Saudi Entertainment Authority, linking his name with a move to Al-Ahly.

El-Wensh added, "I am keen not to be swayed by rumors, and my history with Zamalek is what led me to renew my contract. I am confident about the team's condition and future." He noted that his contract with Zamalek is not as it has been portrayed on social media, mentioning that the figures circulating about the value of his contract, ranging between 60 and 80 million pounds, are completely inaccurate. He said, "My contract with Zamalek is much less than these numbers, and at times, I had the lowest contract in the team, and that doesn’t concern me because what matters to me is hard work and being valued within the team."

El-Wensh expressed his great gratitude towards Zamalek, which gave him the opportunity to become a star in the team and provided him with opportunities for development. He said, "My name became known thanks to Zamalek, so I felt it was my duty to stay at the club and continue giving my best for the club and the fans."

Regarding his relationship with the club's management, El-Wensh confirmed that he has a very good relationship with Hussein Labib and the other officials at the club, noting that the negotiation for his contract renewal was conducted officially and transparently. His agent was the one negotiating with the club's management due to his involvement in the matches. El-Wensh explained, "My relationship with Hussein Labib is very good, and we always work together for the benefit of the club. I had rejected leaving Zamalek despite receiving offers during Labib's temporary management of the club."

As for his role within the team, El-Wensh stated that he feels very proud to be one of the team captains. He added, "I am the team captain, and I consider my responsibility greater than ever. I work to be a role model for the other players, and I hope to contribute to achieving more titles for Zamalek." He clarified that he always gives his best on the pitch for the team and the fans, stressing that every player dreams of achieving victories with their team.

El-Wensh emphasized that he completely rejects the idea of losing and considers it unacceptable for him as a professional athlete. He said, "As football players, we do not like to lose at all. When we step onto the pitch, we all work to win and deliver the best possible performance." He added that his goal is to achieve success with Zamalek in all local and international competitions, noting that the team has the capabilities to excel and win titles.

He also stressed the importance of the team's stability, affirming that despite all the challenges the club has faced recently, the team is capable of making a strong comeback and competing for titles. He said, "Zamalek is a great team, and challenges don't stop it; they make us more determined to succeed." He added that teamwork within the squad is what will ensure continued success and a return to the podium.

In conclusion, El-Wensh confirmed that renewing his contract with Zamalek was a personal decision driven by his feelings towards the club and its fans. He stated that he is happy to continue at the club that means so much to him. He said, "Zamalek is my home, and I am proud to be part of this great entity."
