In an official statement issued by Zamalek Club’s Media Center, Major General Hassan Moussa, the club’s Executive Director, confirmed that all dealings with shop tenants inside the club are conducted in accordance with the regulations and laws in place, with full commitment to maintaining order and respecting everyone's rights.

Moussa clarified that the club received numerous inquiries following the circulation of a video by a woman named Samah Mohamed — a tenant of one of the shops within the club — in which she complained about "mistreatment" by the administration and claimed she was banned from operating her shop. However, the Executive Director refuted these claims, stating that the reality is entirely different from what was portrayed.

He pointed out that the aforementioned woman was involved in repeated disputes with neighboring tenants, as well as frequent altercations with club employees and security personnel. These incidents led to multiple investigations due to clear violations, which resulted in administrative penalties against her.

He added that the club's executive committee recommended escalating the issue to the board of directors, which in turn decided to suspend her and ban her from entering the club — a decision that has been in effect for four days.

Moussa continued: "Zamalek hosts dozens of rented shops, and we have never faced such issues with any other tenant. In fact, the club’s management acted with compassion toward the lady in question, and several board members intervened multiple times to ease the penalties out of concern for her livelihood."

He concluded with a firm message: "Zamalek’s administration is keen to safeguard the rights of all tenants, but at the same time, it will not tolerate any behavior that harms the club’s interests or violates the rules. The regulations are clear, and it is our duty to maintain order and ensure a respectful, safe working environment within the club."
