If the patch allows water to pass through or absorb it so that the skin underneath gets wet, then it does not affect the validity of ghusl, and purification remains complete.

However, if the patch prevents water from reaching the skin, it is treated similarly to a medical dressing. In this case, it is sufficient to wipe over it while washing the rest of the body, ensuring both cleanliness and safety.

If direct wiping could damage the patch or reduce its effectiveness, a protective layer can be placed over it, and wiping can be done over that layer, maintaining both health and proper purification.

On the other hand, if the patch can be removed easily without any harm, it should be taken off during ghusl to allow water to reach the skin fully, and then reapplied afterward.

This balance reflects the flexibility of religious guidance, where ease and well-being are always considered alongside proper practice.
