At the dawn of Jumada al-Awwal, Muslims begin their month with sincere supplications, asking Allah for abundant sustenance, blessings, and goodness in this world and the Hereafter. Here are some of the most beautiful prophetic prayers for this blessed occasion.
The first day of Jumada al-Awwal is a precious opportunity to renew one’s faith and start the month with devotion and trust in Allah.
Although no specific supplication was narrated for this day, there are many comprehensive prayers from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that can be recited, such as:
“O Allah, I ask You for mercy from You that guides my heart, unites my affairs, and blesses my provisions.”
“O Allah, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.”
“O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and self-sufficiency.”
“O Allah, bless me with lawful, abundant, and pure provision, and keep away from me its harm and trial.”
It is also recommended to increase remembrance, repentance, and supplication throughout this day, seeking acceptance and blessings. Among the most heartfelt prayers:
“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, from incapacity and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, and from the burden of debt and the oppression of men.”
The beginning of each lunar month is a chance to renew one’s intentions, cleanse the soul from sins, and start anew in the light of divine mercy. May Allah make it a beginning of goodness, sustenance, and happiness.
